The day

Hour by hour, roughly

01

Before sunrise

We pick you up in Havana and drive west into Pinar del Río while the city is still asleep. By breakfast you're somewhere green you didn't know existed.

02

The tobacco farm

A working vega, a farmer who's been rolling since before you were born, and a tasting under the drying house. Cameras out — this is where the portraits happen.

03

The valley

The Mural de la Prehistoria, the mogotes, the red dirt roads. The landscape does most of the work; we just put you in the right spot in the right light.

04

The long lunch

A paladar that doesn't take walk-ins, plates that keep arriving, and no schedule pressing on you. This is the part guests talk about later.

05

The surprise

A viewpoint we won't describe, because it's better when it isn't expected. Then the drive home — you're back in Havana in time for one more drink.

Before you ask

The practical part

How long is the day, really?

About twelve hours door to door. Pickup in Havana before sunrise, back in the city by early evening. The drive is roughly two and a half hours each way — most guests sleep one leg and watch the country wake up on the other.

I don't smoke. Is the farm still worth it?

Completely. The tasting is optional; the farm visit is about the landscape, the process, and the people. Plenty of our favorite portraits from Viñales are of guests who never lit anything.

What should we bring?

Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a little cash for souvenirs or extra cigars. Water and the photographs are on us. A power bank never hurts.

Is it private or a shared group?

Private — your party, your vehicle, your photographer. One traveler is plenty; the price covers the group, up to three. More than three of you? Just tell us — we'll arrange a bigger vehicle and price it accordingly.

When do we get the photos?

A preview within a few days, and the full set of 80+ edited photographs in a private online gallery shortly after.

What if the weather turns?

The valley is photogenic in almost any light — clouds over the mogotes beat clear skies, honestly. If a day is truly unworkable, we reschedule or refund. No fine print.

The valley is two hours away.
