Before sunrise
We pick you up in Havana and drive west into Pinar del Río while the city is still asleep. By breakfast you're somewhere green you didn't know existed.
The tobacco farm
A working vega, a farmer who's been rolling since before you were born, and a tasting under the drying house. Cameras out: this is where the portraits happen.
The valley
The Mural de la Prehistoria, the mogotes, the red dirt roads. The landscape does most of the work; we just put you in the right spot in the right light.
The long lunch
A paladar that doesn't take walk-ins, plates that keep arriving, and no schedule pressing on you. This is the part guests talk about later.
The surprise
A viewpoint we won't describe, because it's better when it isn't expected. Then the drive home. You're back in Havana in time for one more drink.
